Any issues with sprinkling wood ash over my newly emerging plants in my garden? I have ash in a big bucket from my fireplace plus my wood smoker.

My garden spot is actually an old burn pile where I burned an oak stump from a tree that fell during a storm. Burned a lot of limbs and debris there for a year or so. Mixed in a truck load of top soil on top of it.

If in Dallas co. Your soil ph im guessing is around 7-8.
Potash may raise it even more.
Im further south. I just realized that my blueberries cant stand potash.
I have 16 two year old plants. I have been putting potash on half of them. Right now they are in bloom. The ones with potash are smaller and are very thin with blooms. The others are doing real good, with lots of blooms.

I have no idea about my soil specifics. I do live in north Dallas co, which has red clay.

You can correct your pH with Sulfur. Those blueberries will appreciate the pH getting back down to 4.5 to 5.
