His reply may have been a slip of the tongue or he may have been trying to "bait" the reporter that asked the question, but he replied that Del Rio had just transferred and he was a pretty good QB, and that there was a "new guy" transferring in and he is supposed to be pretty good also.

He had knee surgery early in the fall, he is already working out. I think he has 17 hours to pass this quarter to graduate in May and he has already been released by FSU. Several other teams are recruiting him including auburn, but it looks like he will go to Bama.

So he'll be like marshall at au. 2 months before camp starts. Only problem is...ua runs more than 4 plays. Gonna be a little harder (i imagine) to grasp the playbook?

It's funny that you guys had a shot in joining the SEC but blobby bowden declined that and wanted the easy route to the title with the ACC.. He didn't want to play bama, auburn and florida every year.

I keep up with recruiting pretty close and I have never heard of Auburn trying to get Coker? He would come into camp this fall as third string in Auburn. Frankly if he got beat out by Winston he can't be that great. Had Winston played last season in the SEC he wouldn't have even been mentioned for the Heisman. They won the big game but he didn't impress me at all . That big receiver is good enough to make most any QB look great.

That is because they are not recruiting him. Just timber trying to make the backup look good.
