We have had these little pests in our house from time to time, but now they are everywhere, sinks, "sealed" sugar containers etc. I live on a crawl space, anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of these little critters? I've read up on some things, but want to get y'alls opinion.
thanks.

Go to Lowes and get some Grants ant bait stations.

The terro liquid baits work but you have to be willing to let the ants find it and stay in it for a few days.

Demon WP is something else that is good to mix up in a sprayer and hit the perimeter or your house.

I have gone throug it once and it drove my wife insane to have to watch them come and go to the terro bait without doing anything.

I bet you do not have fire-ants in your yard anymore.
Make boric-acid peanut butter baits. Buy some Roach-Rid powder (boric-acid), mix with peanut butter and place dime-size dabs of it all around your house. It wont work in one or two days it will work over a month.

Like Cletus said, Demon WP is awesome but I prefer to save that for black widows and recluses. Its overkill for six legged bugs.

Thanks guys. It is driving my wife nuts as well as myself. The sugar they got into was in a glass container with a rubber seal, and they still found a way to get in.

Tempo SC Ultra sprayed inside your crawlspace on the cinder blocks and piers will usually stop them.

I had read about different solutions, and the traps were one of them. Just wanted to get info from the pro's. Some of the stuff sounded like I was getting info from a sugar ant loving liberal who wanted me to catch and relocate them.

We have been overran with them for the past three weeks. I haven't found anything that works yet!

In the mean time of getting rid of them you can circle the jars with baby powder and it will keep them out. I dont know if they cant walk in it or what but they will not cross it.

You got Argentine Ants, we have been dealing with them for 8 years down here. Boric Acid baits are the only thing that really works to knock them back. You cannot eradicate them. The good thing is that they take over fire-ants, black widows, and pretty much any edible thing that sits still for more than 12 hours. They are the Zombie ant, you gotta learn how to live with them.

Just boric and something sweet. We mix boric with peanut butter, cause ants go through a "need protein phase". Peanut butter gives the sugar and protein. Cheap and easy.

I am in the pest control business and wanted to give my two cents. You may have argentine ants but you may have odorous house ants which are also very difficult to eradicate. Just don't spray over the counter products like raid, they can spread the problem and make it worse. If you can get your hands on Phantom and can spray the trail of ants they will gradually go away over the next few days. If you can locate Termidor and spray the trail they will be gone tomorrow. It may be a problem a pro needs to help you with, just message me and i'll try to help if you don't see an improvement soon. A lot of people don't realize how difficult it can be to rid a house of an ant problem.

Thanks Skinny, I didn't realize that sugar ants would keep more threatening insects out of your house. Might be a good problem to have. Just need to keep them under control.

Demon from the co op worked good for me, but corn meal really helped. Sprinkled a trail around the house, in the attic, and in spots in the house. Worked like a champ. My wife saw it on tv. Like one of those home remedy, DIY, shows. I told myself that was the dumbest crap I have heard, may have been, but it worked.
