If I break it out, it will be my 23 year old Browning .270 A-Bolt. Damn, what a scope! Nightforce NXS 5.5x22-56mm. It's what all other scopes wish they were. The last 3" or so on the front is a sunshade. Longest kill I've gotten with it was the season before last. Shot a nannerhead at 333 yards and she was DRT.

I got a Bushnell 4200 elite 4x16 that has one those shades. Love it. I wish all scopes came with one.

Yea, but it weighs nearly as much as my rifle. You should be able to mount a rifle on top of it.LOL

Any weather I'll be shootin' one of these little units, the "bush hog" is a .308 with a Leupold Var-X III, 2.5-8 with custom heavy duplex reticle.

If I break it out, it will be my 23 year old Browning .270 A-Bolt. Damn, what a scope! That is a nice looking rig. The extra length on the scope is actually a screw on sunshade. I use them in a lot of hunts and they are worth their weight in gold. They can be a little squeaky unscrewing them in the field unless you grease them a little.
