Looking at buying a used one. Can anyone give any info on these. They are a little smaller in size which I think will be handy for getting deer out of the woods. Motor size is actually a 455cc. Will this handle a ATV disk. Pros and cons?

My buddy has the 500efi and it makes my 420 cc honda rancher look like a toy trying to pull something. We had it pulling a 6' cultipacker and my rancher pullin a 4x6 screen out of a topsoil screening plant. Its all ny wheeler wants to pull that drag. I went to get gas on my honda and mr impatient hooked the drag to the cultipacker and hauled a $$ needless to say we left it hooked up to the ranger for the remainder of the fields which was about 10 acres worth. They will pull a heck of a lot more than I ever thought they would

Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........

Clayton,

Check with the Polaris dealership in Tipton, GA. They have some pretty good prices. Bama Buggies in Tuscaloosa does, also, but Tipton maybe closer.

I rode with a buddy yesterday checking fields. I was on a Honda Rancher and he was on a Polaris Ranger. His bike looked to be a much better bike, but mine is 14 years old and his is new.

Anyway, good looking bike.

I've got a 400 I bought new in 2010. Bought it after my 500 was stolen so I've had both. I went with the 400 because it was a little smaller and cheaper. It is more narrow than a 500 but I think the length is about the same. It has been everything I hoped it would be, plenty of power and tough. The only thing I don't like is it has a carb instead of efi so its a little hard to crank sometimes and is louder. You should have no problems pulling a disk or just about anything else you want to hook to it.
