The obvious answer is yes, but I see it every year. Multiple deer taken out of the same stand. Me personally, I just can't bring myself to hunt a spot that has been killed in.

Depends on the set up/time of year of corse. You need to change your way of thinking cause your missing out.

At our club last year,we had 5 bucks killed in 4 days from the same food plot! Must have been a really hot doe in the area.

Be safe & have fun

Yep. I've also seen where how much land you hunt changes you perception. If you hunt 100 acres, some will say they have a 40 acre "sanctuary". That's bull, deer don't feel safe when they're getting shot at on either side of an area.

Dogs are the only thing I've seen that fundamentally change deer movement, and make them go nocturnal.

I shot a doe at 11 am off of a greenfield. Hunted that same greenfield that evening and shot an 8pt. Went in the woods to get the deer and when I came back out there were 3 or 4 more bucks and a bunch of does already back in the field.

If I still have good light I dont even leave my stand after shooting one. Many times there will be another one come out right behind the dead one.

I've watched a buck fight a dead buck I shot last year, and I've had a doe lick the wound of another doe that died in the field

Ponderosa, what exactly is your point? Do you hunt to kill or just hunt so say you have hunted?

I agree we have dog running clubs around us and killed over 50 last year. I'll tell you what will make deer go nocturnal, pressure from people hunting stands without playing the wind, or running all over the property putting cameras out and checking them every two or three days especially the guys who like to go put them in green fields wearing their tennis shoes smoking and talking like they're in a crowded area. That'll drive them clean out of there or make them nocturnal long before a dog will.

Y'all could be right, but they outlawed dogs in my area about 3-4 years ago, and that's the only change. We've seen and killed more deer than before. Could just be our land, but I'll take it.

I can't say bout dog huntin', but I KNOW the part about over hunting and hunting stands with the wrong wind, checking cameras every few days, rippin' and roaring on SXS / 4 wheelers will make them go nocternal and quick!

I have killed a big mature six year old and gone back the next day and killed a bigger mature five year old out of the same spot......just sayin. Depends on the spot and time of year.

Yeah, but when you're in a rockin' chair on the porch looking at your garden that's not fair! grin

I have to disagree. A few years ago, I hunted in southern Arkansas with my friend Fred and his cousin Robert. Robert shot a very nice 8 pointer chasing a hot doe from a ladder stand. The next day, Robert shot another nice 8 pointer from the same stand, and was tagged out. The third day, Fred shot a monster 8 pointer with chocolate covered antlers from the same ladder stand. Being the good friend he is, Fred insisted that I hunt that same stand and I shot a beautiful 10 pointer. Four days, four trophy deer, all from the same stand.
