Won it just like he used to. Just get on the leaderboard and wait on everyone else to choke. Unfortunately for those who don't like tiger, like me, he was up against Sergio and Sergio was scared to death he was going to get in a playoff with tiger. He looked relieved when he went tin cup on 17.

I think he's an arrogant @$$ with a lot of talent. He screams out vulgarity in front of crowds with kids. No use for him.

Best ball striking round I've seen from him in 5 years. Couple lipped out putts away from 65 and a blowout. He will lap the field in a few weeks at Merion in the US Open. Love him or hate him you better get used to hearing about him winning a bunch of golf tournaments again.

He will win some more tournaments and maybe even another major or two but he won't ever dominate the way he did before. His first 10 years on tour he wasn't beating guys by going out and shooting 65. He was beating them by getting out front and watching everyone else fold in fear.

He had the perfect storm yesterday in that he was up against a rookie and a guy who couldn't wait to choke. Most of the new guys aren't scared of him anymore and there are several that can contend any given week.

There is a reason tiger can't come from behind and win. He wasn't winning most of those tournaments by posting record numbers. He won them by grinding out a number and grinding his opponents down. The days of him just getting to the top of the leaderboard and winning by shooting 70 aren't going to come nearly as often as they did before, IMO.

I agree with everything Bill has to say about El Tigre. His days of walking around with that scowl like he had yesterday and intimidating the field are over on most weekends.

The feud between Tiger Woods and fellow golfer Sergio Garcia took a turn last night when a golf marshal said Tiger didn't tell the truth about what happened during a controversial sequence on the second hole on Saturday.
Sergio and Tiger were playing together when Sergio mishit his shot from the fairway on the second hole.
After the round, he blamed it on Tiger. Sergio claimed Tiger took a 5-wood out of his bag during his backswing, which prompted oohs and aahs from the crowd that distracted him.
When he was asked about it, Tiger said it was all big misunderstanding. He told reporters:
"The marshal told me he already hit so I pulled the club and was getting ready to play my shot, and then I hear his comments afterward. Not really surprising that he's complaining about something."
But in an interview with Michael Bamberger of Sports Illustrated, two separate marshals say that that conversation never happened.
John North, who was standing over Tiger's ball at the time, told SI:
"Nothing was said to us and we certainly said nothing to him. I was disappointed to hear him make those remarks. We�re there to help the players and enhance the experience of the fans. He was saying what was good for him. It lacked character."
Another marshal, Gary Anderson, added, "He didn�t ask us nothing, and we didn�t say nothing. We�re told not to talk to the players."
They are both accusing Tiger of lying here, North explicitly so.
Tiger had no reason to lie. Sergio came off so petty that Tiger didn't need to explain himself. In addition, Tiger's every move (and drop) is scrutinized so heavily at this point that he had to know that he couldn't get away with fabricating an entire conversation.
It's plausible that he was just confused. He was surrounded by hundreds fans and officials at the time and he couldn't see where Sergio was hitting from, so maybe someone told gave him the okay to play his shot.
But if the marshals are to be believed, this is a really dumb move by Tiger. He essentially created a controversy out of thin air in a situation where everyone was previously on his side

I totally agree on the Sergio part, but did you watch Tiger's entire round? He could have EASILY shot a 65 or better with just a couple of tiny breaks. His tee to green play was unreal throughout the round. Couple that with about 6 or 7 birdies that burned right over lips. The scoreboard might have been close, but nobody else played in the same zip code as he did on Sunday. I'm afraid he's well on his way to being head and shoulders better than everyone else once again.
