Yuo cant make them gobble if they dont want to. Probably covered up with hens at the moment and dont have a need to gobble.
Our birds are quiet rigth now, but it always changes the first of April. You can still kill them but it requires more patience and a little more work to find them. Stick with it.
ROLL TIDE !!!

hens hens and more hens. some birds are still in gobbler groups too and are just walking around looking for a fight. Be there when they are ready to fight and show them who's boss.

i have yet to hear one gobble in over two weeks! what the crap! gobbler tracks in the roads, but no gobbling and zero sightings of them in over two weeks! your thoughts? We had the same problem this weekend. Went both mornings and nobody heard a gobble. Frustrating but always good to be in the woods. I know they'll be hot when I get back out there in two weeks.

one thing you need to remember about when a turkey gobbles,is that he is trying to call hens, but that is also his long range call,he also calls hens by drumming, and you dont hear this a long way off. Gobblers are vocal this time of year, but we just don't get to hear all of it, when they break up and scatter out good you will hear more gobbling, because each bird is trying to call in his own harem of hens, give it a few more hunts before you get discouraged,we are still a few days away from the prime gobbling time of year, and as far as the hens go they really don't have to be very vocal at any time, simply because they will just go to a gobbler, and don't need to be cuttin up,not saying they don't just saying they don't have to.
I would rather be turkey hunting
