I have had good success on Choccolocca WMA near Heflin. I believe there is some camping access near there also.
Other things being equal, it is the man who shoots with his heart in his bow that hits the mark.

since you are in Alexander City, I would say Hollins or Coosa. Good hunting both places but very different from one another.

Not sure abt the camping portion of your wish but the cahaba wma has great hunting. Found some scrapes out there on Sunday when I was stumbling around. I've been to coosa abunch to turkey hunt and cahaba is 10:1 better for deer imo, good luck on Ur trip whichever one u go to

I cant find a map on the Cahaba is it still a wma? Yep it is. The full name is William R Ireland Sr Cahaba River WMA. That might be why you couldnt find it. Good luck.
