Got a bid for $42 per foot that included demo and removal of existing 6 foot privacy fence and posts and installation of new fence and posts. That seems high......We got a quote that was more along the lines of what walt4dun posted

...that included demo and removal of existing 6 foot privacy fence... I would move Heaven and Earth to try to keep that existing one standing as long as you can. Privacy fences are higher than giraffe balls right now. My neighbor and I have come to the agreement that we don't give a crap what ours looks like, as long as it still keeps our dogs in their respective yards. The sound of a cordless impact and box of deck screws rattling has become the norm around our backyards.

Got a bid for $42 per foot that included demo and removal of existing 6 foot privacy fence and posts and installation of new fence and posts. I got 6foot vinyl installed with 2 gates for $47 per foot. A wood fence should be considerably less per foot.
