8am and nobody started a thread? Guess errbody done limited out. I’m back in coffee county. Heard prob same bird I heard Saturday burning it up across line. Answered but never came close. I’ve regrouped and set up next to a hayfield. Got a Jake and 2 hen decoys out. Never really tried decoys but birds frequent this field so maybe something will mosey over toward me.

How tall is the field? I hunt around hay fields often, but mine are shooting up, thick grass and over knee high. Not sure how much the birds are in it now with the grass so tall

Got on a bird on the limb. Let him get on the ground and set up where he wanted to be last time I fooled with him. Had a hen fly over my head and took him away. Stayed til 9 hoping he would fire back up.

Nothing since about 745. Gonna give it another hour then make a long drive to work.

I’m watching my little cousin through the binos tryn get ahead of one across a 600 acre clear cut. Very entertaining

My Dad went in way before daylight this morning to “deer hunt” one of these unresponsive rascals. Not a single gobble or anything, but the gobbler walked into the food plot at 7:00 and Dad killed him 15 minutes later.

I’m so glad he finally killed one!!! It’s not much fun to kill one this way, but that’s the first opportunity he’s had all season. I’ll take it at this point lol
