“The rise of progressivism is an era-defining shift within the Western left-wing,” said study author Travis Proulx, a senior lecturer at the Cardiff University School of Psychology. “Rivalries with traditional liberals play out across social media, academics and electoral politics. While progressivism has been deemed the ‘successor ideology’ by some on the Left, no prior psychological measure has assessed the attitudes and behaviors that characterize this distinct worldview. We set out to devise a measure that could examine this split: the Progressive Values Scale (PVS).”
To develop the scale, Proulx and his colleagues used the Prolific research platform to recruit 182 U.S. participants who identified as either “progressive” or “liberal.” The participants indicated the extent to which they agreed or disagreed with 78 statements regarding persuasion, equality, identity, free speech, historical determinism, activism, and cultural appropriation.

Most liberals are poor, if they had money they would be conservative. That’s quite the generalization considering deep red states like MS and Alabama are relatively poor. Realistically the average income for both is pretty close.

The class you’re thinking of rarely votes unless prompted to keep their welfare benefits etc…. Someone of the worst are white trash. All they want is free stuff and do not associate with an ideology. The white upper class well educated women are who drives these social issues.

The worst ones to me are the trial lawyers who make their money suing legitimate businesses and pushing the “victim” mentality. About half of my family, I call them the parasitic elite. I love them but they will put the little man out of business in a heartbeat. I’ll have to agree greatly. It’s the beginning of the end for normalcy when this was allowed. Culpability matters I don’t have a problem when legitimate lawsuits are brought. I’m sorry but coffee is hot

Both Well educated think of themselves as above others especially when they’re in an elite group that pats each other on the back for getting another degree. Thomas Sowell mentions this often in his talks. That being said not all well educated feel that way I’m friends with a few very high IQ guys. They consider themselves classic liberals aka libertarians. Fortunately they lean right but their circles lean hard left. They have the education to prove it. I’m from an arts background and my wife from social services. Both are leftist by nature, we’re anomalies in our professions.

What galvanizes the women is abortion. They left has successfully turned infanticide into "reproductive freedom". It is so skewed when you look at it. She can kill a baby, even if the father doesn't want her too. However, if he wants it aborted, not so fast. And no only that, he gets to pay child support for the next 18 years. PLus having an abortion pill takes away the need to go in for a proceedure.

Col.Cooper once said "Conservatives are Liberals who've just been mugged." I lack the good upbringing of Col. Cooper but his point was mindset controlling fear decisive action and being cool under pressure getting the hits and keeping the pistol loaded will win the day.
