Dont really follow the NFL but was sitting in the Dr's office the other day killing time and read that Milroe did not run, jump or participate in any of the agility drills at the NFL combine. His draft stock had already dropped substantially after the 2024 season, and especially after his senior bowl performance. According to the article, all he did was throw at the combine. Had several nice deep balls, against air, but still struggled on the short and intermediate throws, even without coverage. Milroe's only real NFL value is based on his athleticism. If he was trying to improve his draft stock, why in the world did he not participate in any of the drills that would have shown it???? Run a 4.4, jump 10.5 and I'll guarantee you'll have scouts & GMs back asking themselves questions and wondering if they can make you into a QB. Not sure he's getting the best advice from whoever he is listening to.

I think he may have been injured. Nothing to support that except him not doing those things. I think he was hurt at some point during the season. Nothing major but maybe a nagging injury. That is the only reason I could think of really. Maybe bad advice from his agent.

He should have come back for his senior year.....It was a bad decision for him to go pro He should have transferred to weaker conference where he could have put up massive numbers. He wasnt going to start at Bama this coming year. Deboer saw last year that he couldnt run, even a scaled down version of the offense he wanted to run. I think his agent was pretty smart in one regard. This is the best year for him to come out, because this is probably the overall weakest QB class to come out, in recent history. I'd have still had him run, broad jump and vertical at the combine, with all the GMs and scouts looking on. Lot more eyes and people to impress there, than will be at Bama's pro day.

Deboer had no choice last year. He may as well have had his hands tied behind his back. He had to keep Milroe happy to keep the team intact while he got his legs under him. Way too much hype and way too many talking heads and IDOTS that thought Milroe could win Nattys and was actually a legitimate heisman candidate, right up until they realized that he wasnt either. Repeat the lie often and long enough and other people start to believe it. No new coach can put a QB with that kind of hype on the bench. Doboer would have had a choice this year and he would have chosen differently. I'd be willing to bet that he and Milroe had this very conversation, before Milroe decided to declare for the draft. Notice you never heard him say, not one single time, "I'm looking forward to having Jalen back next year", or" boy I'm really hoping Milroe stays and comes back for his final year". Not one single time.
