My grandparents have recently passed, and my grandmother was an antique collector. Depression glass, glass milk jugs, figurines, etc. There is a lot of things that we don't have a clue about in their house, along with 2 log cabins from the 1800s that they had moved to their property. The log cabins are full of stuff from that era. Butter churns, spinning wheels, beds, etc. We are not interested in selling the cabins, but are trying to declutter a lot, keeping what is sentimental to us. My question is, does anyone have a contact that would come in, value, or possibly buy in a lump sum? We are in the Columbiana area if that helps. Thanks in advance.

I would check with any local antique stores. They might have info on bulk estate buyers. Unfortunately, antique items like you are describing are decreasing in value as most younger folks are not interested in the items. And since folks aren't keeping these items, the market is full of these things causing prices to go down even further.

Is its going go out of your life.

Is it going to stay in your house.

Do that first. Archaeology Lab director. Before that dirty thing goes in the clean building. I got a dirty building for dirty things.

Why, an antique estate selling slinger, knows that thing you love has no price. so the object-money-flipper can not be bothered with having to think about it.

Definitely. It’s crazy seeing antiques that used to be pretty valuable having very little demand now.

Prepare to be disappointed...

The reason so much Antique stuff is in Antique Flea Malls, is that its really just flea market grade stuff. Still fun to go "hunt for thing" in a big Antique Flea mall. Don't get me wrong, a lot of those places have very nice things at high prices too.

X2. A lot of it ended up at the landfill.

yeah I find that the real wood furniture is much cheaper at antique stores now than the paper covered cardboard stuff is from ashley furniture. but yeah I can foresee that in 20 years when all the solid wood furniture starts really drying up it's gonna be worth more.

Call Bo Morgan at Angie's Auctions in Selma. He's good guy and honest. He's bought in bulk from me a couple of times and I got more than I expected. He'll come take a look and make an offer and move it all for you. Tell him David Evans told you to call him.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

We buy and sell.
An estate sale company will come in price it and have a sale.
Most of it will sell for quite a bit less than you think and some things will sale for more.
Most milk glass isn’t worth much these days. Hob nail being the priciest. Actually most glass isn’t worth much these days. People just don’t use it. Butter churns, old iron stone ware do pretty well. What ever don’t sale the donate.
You need to figure out what you need money wise to be happy selling and see if an estate sale will get you what you want.
We talking hundreds of dollars or thousands of dollars? Is it enough for an estate company to even want to mess with?
