Been using these ISOtunes Sports from shooting clays to turkey hunting for the last 3 years. Good gun shot noise reduction, amplifies outdoor sounds, good battery life and bluetooth connection to your phone. I have no problem wearing these for hours. Only complaint is that you can get some wind noise when it's blowing. They know it's an issue and may have improved with newer models, but I don't know for sure. https://isotunes.com/products/advance-bt AXIL is another brand to check out.

I've been using Peltor Electronic Earmuffs for over 30 years. They amplify sound and cut off at a loud noise like a gun shot. There may be something better, but these work ok and are only $65. I have worn out 3 of them over the years and need to pick up a new one. I wear them all the time when hunting with a handgun or my loud ML. I don't want to take any chance of firing either of those without protection. When hunting with my rifle, I keep them in my vest and pull them out only if convenient. One shot with a .308 doesn't make my ears ring, but I will put them on before shooting if I have plenty of time. https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/1016345246

I bought the Axil GS Extreme 2.0 several months ago. I haven't had the opportunity to use them in a hunting situation yet, but I have shot my 357 with hot hand loads with good results. I also use them while mowing with my 15 year old riding mower that has become a little loud. The blue tooth works well with my iPhone and the battery life is good. Hearing conversation and amplification is also good.

There are several good options but the issue I have with all of them is when wearing a face mask or anything over your ears, which is most any time Iām hunting.
Electronic hearing pro that amplifies sound will drive you crazy b/c every time you turn your head it rubs against the microphone on the ear pro. It would be ok sitting in a shooting house only watching a single direction, but I donāt care for that style of hunting.
You canāt insert plugs in a hurry if your ears are covered, so thatās not a good option either.
Muffs are too bulky to keep up with and donāt go on over a hat very well AND interfere with my cheek weld on the stock which throws shots off.
Suppressed is prob the best solution. Iāll know after this season.
You're only as good as your worst shot-
