I'm not sure just how drunk you'd have to be to do that because I don't think I've ever been that drunk. I've had friends tell me the next day about things I didn't remember only to have little flashes of memory come back bit by bit but I've never been THAT drunk.

Heard of it happening before. Dang lucky the bilge pump didn't throw a spark when it kicked on.

Most the time it’s an exited guest that wants to help that makes the mistake. The most embarrassing episode was when several city of Mobile FD guys pumped a good amount in the bilge and one of the OBFD guys knew them. Smack talk to the extreme. The Mobile guys walked to the bar a few doors down and came back with a lunch plate for the OB guys

Very few of us are old enough to remember the pickups that had the gas tanks behind the seat. The filler neck was right behind the drivers door. A man I knew in East Tennessee had one and had replaced the tank with a set of dual tanks under the bed. He pulled into a station and went inside. When he came back out, gas was running out from under his door while the attendant was cleaning the windshield.
