I've always supported my local tire shop for better than 30+ years, but this time Sam's club has my usual shop beat by $200 on a set of tires for my Avalon. Is Sam's club easy to deal with on routine rotate & balance jobs? Appointment necessary? Is it an easy in-and-out thing, done in 45 mins or less? I'd be using one of the Huntsville Sam's Clubs, mostly likely the Holmes Ave location. Anyone got any experiece with them, good or bad? I've not checked, but I think Sam's only installs tires & batteries, & therefore I'd need to get a front end alignment done somewhere else.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

my dad always bought his tires at Sam’s and always had good luck

Some may disagree, but if your current tire aren't showing any signs of abnormal wear and your car isn't pulling/driving strangely then you probably don't need to get an alignment. But I do understand people getting one with new tires since the cost is outrageous for them these days. Exactly my thought process as well for daily drivers Now an exception to this would be a sports car

But I do understand people getting one with new tires since the cost is outrageous for them these days. Ive been able to negotiate a "free alignment" several times when buying tires. They say the price and I say "no way." "But I'll pay $200 less if you throw in an alignment. " Sorry, I forgot to list a con for Sams. There is no haggling. Which can be a plus.

Ha Ha "I'll give you $200 less if you throw in a free Alignment"..we fix a lot of Free Alignments. If I had a time machine, just before I went back and got those $1,000,000,000.00 winning lottery #'s, I would go back and find the 1st guy that dropped his price to make a tire sale and kick him in the nuts... I have never understood why negotiating price on tires is acceptable? Its a retail business, just like the grocery store, walmart, hardware store, etc. There are plenty of options, I've got more economical tires I can sell you but, these are $xyz price. The margins are there keep the business in good health. I've seen a lot if folks over the years negotiate themselves out of business. Back on subject. Sam's club seems to be competitive and do a decent job of servicing after the sale. The do have very strict rules on what they are allowed to work on. Stripped lugs, broken studs, etc. They won't touch it because they can't/Don't have the staff to correct those things before the vehicle leaves. (Liability reasons?

Not Sam’s but we put tires on the wife’s telluride at Costco yesterday. Beat my tire store by $200.
