My boss had them put in a pond years ago. They seem to grow fast and are aggressive when hitting lures.

Northern bass grow just as fast. It’s all about the forage. Check out Aquatic Biologist on YouTube z

They grow fast and are aggressive, but they can outgrow small ponds fast. We had a small pond full of them and they all maxed out at 18" and would hit your fingers if you wiggled them under the water line. Drained the pond...start over.

Go to Man catches bass by hand . Friend of mine , Coach lives in blountsville Al . Has caught a 16 lb by hand . I’m pretty sure it’s a tiger ! He let my son catch one of his bass by hand a few years ago. I saw the big one but she wasnt hungry. The one Joseph caught was about 8lb. I have a video of it

I shot him an email . His biggest caught by hand is 18 lbs and they are Florida not tiger .The big ones weren’t hungry the last time I went by but he did catch a 5-6 lb . Coach Earl Woodard . He has written 3 books and can talk the horns off a Billy goat 🐐! He is a great guy and use to raise registered black angus cattle. We bought some of our first heifers from him .

Key is having and being able to keep enough forage in the pond. I’ve read that they have to eat 10lb of forage a year to gain 1lb of weight so think about how many bream and shad that is, if you’ve got just 1,000 fingerling tigers in your pond. Better plan to establish those early on before stocking and fertilize and supplemental feed your forage base regularly. If you don’t, they’ll eat everything in it and hit a wall at about 3-5lbs like someone above said happened to them. I’ve fished them in a big well managed private lake near uniontown and it’s nothing short of spectacular. My son caught 7 between 3-8 lbs, at the boat launch, in just the 5 minutes it took me to put the boat in the water and get everything ready to fish. He was 10 at the time. Catch rates increased from there once we got on the water. Lol

My pond s overloaded with 2 inch bream, so I'm hopeful they will level the playing field.

When ours overpopulated, the bass grew to 18" no problem but they were all thin as chain link fence posts.
