Ive heard JD for most anything. Never used a covington


Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Look for a jd 7100. The older jd70/yettwr planter is good but needs multiple plates. I have a bunch if you go that route. The jd7100 you can parts from shoup and using finger pickups you can plant corn and sunflower. They have 48 or 60 cell plates for peas and beans. And other plates for sorghum. IH makes a good planter that folks are making into 2 rows. They work well too but don’t know much about them except they remind me of the jd70 planters.

There some for sell here in muscle shoals on hwy 20 as you come into the shoals.

Covington will work but not made tough as the jd7100 so about the same money I’d go jd7100 and also you could go with a notill option
