Daughter had a major surgery Friday morning. Has three more to go and will be in the hospital for 6-8 weeks before she can go home. Her second surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning. Son-in-laws step father was rushed to hospital yesterday afternoon, heart related. Sons house burnt Saturday morning. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/yNBNc9RB/Mark.jpg)

Luckily my son had his alarm set for 6am, had him and his girlfriend slept in the would both be dead from carbon-monoxide poisoning and burnt up the fire. Doctors said yesterday that if they would have been in there much longer they would have ended up with permanent brain damage from the carbon-monoxide poisoning.
Actually my son is a truck driver and was not supposed to be home until Saturday evening, but came in early Friday. Had a load with him that was going out yesterday afternoon for delivery this morning. The wife and I was supposed to be in Texas for the daughters surgery, but I told the wife with the weather conditions over the weekend here in Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas I wasn't going to be driving in any of it. Told her we would go in a couple weeks to see the daughter in the hospital, if the weather cooperated. Luckily we were home when he called me at 6:20 and told me the attic was on fire. They live 400 yards from me across the field, I was there by 6:23.
It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
