I put about 2k plants in the ground last week. That rain we got was perfect for them. I planted 3 sweet yellow varieties and one red variety.

My wife says I have issues!! I want to have a batch of onion rings, so I like to keep the odds in my favor. I try to grow enough to share with friends and family and some of my elderly neighbors.

Once the get growing good and about a foot tall I’ll put some ammonium sulfate every 2 weeks until they start bulbing.

Yep. If you can’t plant them when you get them. Take them out the box and separate them and keep in a cool place. They claim the plants will stay viable in the dormant state for a couple weeks.
