Not complaining about some rainy weather, but looks like we are going to have a degree of difficulty next week. Especially for the flintlock hunters.

You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

I'll hunt in popup blinds during the rain.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

A little beeswax around the rim of the pan, plug the sides of the barrel where it meets the stock with a small ball of beeswax as well (prevent water channels), and keeping the lock under my arm has worked well for me in the past. It's definitely a consideration, but doing these things along with changing the charge from time to time has helped.

Sat in a pop-up blind in the rain yesterday, and killed a monster 3pt.

Went this morning. Almost had a good sized doe but it was on the move.

Ended up having 5 coyotes come out with 4 attacking 1 on the field about 175yds away

The one being attacked ran off so I went ahead and shot one. It died on the spot and had one come check on it while I was reloading. Fired a second shot off and it tipped over right next to his buddy. Pic is how they actually fell.

I'm going to take off Friday. I've got a spot on Autauga WMA that is in need of some supervision.
