Not much being caught at Orange Beach. Everything is small.

Agreed, I used to tie my own but now I mostly buy salty’s pompano rigs. They’re made in Alabama by a guy who actually uses them. They’re really perfect

Go rent you a pontoon and go over by the air force base and fish the grass with some live shrimp. Thank me later.

Let them walk ...and grow them big

I just ordered the stuff to tie some pompano rigs. I've never done it before but found a good YouTube video on making them and thought I'd give it a shot.

What other rigs do y'all use for bigger species of fish?

If you want to target reds on the beach, get some 5-8" croakers, 2 oz egg sinker above a swivel, then a 24-30", 40lb mono or flouro leader with a 4/0 mutu light circle hook. If one swims by he's gonna eat it.

You can go to St Andrew's Park, and fish off the jetties! Used to go every year around first of October, lots of big bull Redfish and some Spanish Mackerel.
