Prices are definitely high. Not just on puppies but everything associated with the dog. I’ve got $500 in vaccinations for my new puppy. Not to mention pro plan is nearly $2/lb. My advice is don’t skimp on the front end. Consider it insurance. You can find very well bred dogs for a decent price (relative) if you take your time. I understand the want now plus Christmas in your circumstance but it’s not the best way to purchase a 10+ year investment imo.
PM me if you would like any more info as I just went through this. $500 for vaccinations for one pup is crazy you should try another vet just my opinion but you should order from Revival Animal Health and do your own for about $10 to $15 each
