This. Yes there are bug deer on the Midwest but you will never seen a many good bucks in several trips to the Midwest as you will on a Texas hunt on well managed land. Hill Country > South TX not much public in either compaired to other parts of the state tho.

The Edwards plateau is a beautiful place to hunt, and you’re just as likely to see African or Indian game as you are whitetail
