Got a half mile drag out of here. Doe with fawn came from my 9 o'clock. He came behind about 10 mins later. That's 11 deer I've seen back in here in 3 days on public and my last two hunts were only 3 hours each. He's just a six point but I had to act fast. I have no qualms with it.

I'm set up in a very thick spot, very limited sight. Not seeing the numbers I have been . Have seen several, every doe so far has had a buck trailing.

It just feels better killing deer on public land. Nice work. Too bad your honey hole isnt closer to the truck.

So I woke up a little late got ready and dropped my son off at his spot at 6:30am. I then drove all the way to the other side of the club and had to hurry because my stomach was rumbling, got parked at my parking place and I had to grab the toilet paper and left the doors open and the truck running and went off into the pines and handled my business. I look at my phone as I am walking to my ladder stand and it is 6:50, I am really late I get to my ladder and climb up ease the seat down and the shooting rail, I was fixing to flip the footrest down and he stepped out in front of my camera and began pawing the ground. I got him to turn towards me with the mehhh and I let the 308 bark. Double lung 60 yds he ran 45 yds and that was the end. I about had a stroke laughing at my son trying to push a deer cart through the mud, I told him that it looks like he is grocery shopping, he told me that he is because he heard that the meat is on sale on this isle
