Interesting results.
I'm fairly surprised. Maybe the state has been strategic in the location of wmas, in relation to population centers. There are 30 of 67 counties that don't have any state land or national forest. Of course, that doesn't account for TVA, military bases, or COE land.
No for my location. The Southwest part of the state has a big void, especially when Scotch went away.

No for my location. The Southwest part of the state has a big void, especially when Scotch went away. Yep, from what I heard, that became a high-dollar hunting club. If I'm not mistaken, it is the same land that used to be Scotch.

There is a WMA 15 minutes from my house. I drive right through it (because it sucks) to the next closest which is way better hunting. It takes me 45 minutes to get there.
