Cotton Row is my favorite for overpriced food. Nick’s is also pretty good steak. Commerce Kitchen is also a favorite. Which it's the same chef as Cotton Row, right? So that would make sense.

Go to take the tour. Go to Miss Mary Bobo's for a meal. Walk the square. But I don't know what it is like on a weekday. Yup Used to live one county away. These men tell the truth. It’s the way to do it. Make reservations at miss bobbo’s if possible. Also could go to bell buckle early in the day on the way. Several odd shops there. Drop down out of Moore county after your tour and go through Fayetteville then through New Market to get to Huntsville. You said for an activity on Wednesday. Going to Jack Daniels distillery is a long day trip from Nashville back to Nashville. It would work best to make that run on the way back South. If a Nashville day trip then the Opryland Hotel is fun or printers alley. There’s a place that you get to do some kinda faux shooting and real drinking bar. The Whiskey Shot https://www.thewhiskeyshot.com/Edit: The Bluebird Cafe is good place for new country songwriting talent to show themselves. But there’s a Covid protocol involved in going there best to check their website.

Rosie's in Huntsville, I put a compressor control system in at the still, good folks. My tour was behind the scene tour.

I think the higher end tours included a meal at Bobos. At least they did a few years ago. The crowd won't be bad mid-week. It's starting to wind down for the year now.

Grew up in Tullahoma...my mom worked at the George Dickey distillery every fall to make x-mas money. My dad used to buy used Jack Daniels barrels for $2 apiece. He’d put water and a bung in them and roll em around in the summer sun for a few weeks.
Drain them, filter through a coffee filter to get the charcole chunks out and get 60 proof whiskey out. Usually a couple of gallons. Then he’d cut the barrels in half and sell the halves for $5 for planters. The good old days.... I was a Red Raider. In the winter we used to inner tube down the hill across from Dickel until some married guy in his 30’s nearly got scalped hanging too long and submarining under the fence. His wife said, “I told them kids would get you hurt”. Felt bad for the guy. Mine and sister’s names are on the round table at Daddy Billy’s. Worked “Outaro” in the 80’s. “We got the pot”, my senior year though I didn’t play cause Franklin county had done busted my collar bone for me. Been to more drive in movies than I can remember at each end of Ttown. There wasn’t much if any 2 lane black top from Shebvul to Sewanee and McMinville to Fayetteville I didn’t run over. That area was wide open and a good place to be a young buck in the mid 70’s to late 80’s. Good memories what few aren’t blurred by buzzes.

If you are craving Mexican food - It has to be Rosie's. Went to have lunch there Sunday. Closed. Went to Phil Sandavols. Terrible. No flavor at all

If you are craving Mexican food - It has to be Rosie's. I prefer Chuy's. Closest thing to Tex-Mex I can find. The JD tour is nice. Pickup a bottle in the gift shop and put your anniversary or some other date or saying on the bottle. You are allowed three lines.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
We made the tour today at Jack Daniels. Really interesting to see and learned several things I did not know. The drive from Nashville to Lynchburg was very nice too.
We decided to drive on to Huntsville, and we couldn’t get later reservations at Cotton Row, so we are trying Rosie’s.
I’m tired of overpriced “chef” foods anyway.
