I've used one for years. Only use whole corn in it. Deer will learn to eat out it.

I had one behind the house for a year or two. The deer had no issue with eating out of the trays. The coins and squirrels would eat what was dropped on the ground.

They work fine, but you’ll have to kill the coons. I have 3-4 like it and they all get used by bucks.
Straight corn, no mixes in them or they will clog.

I have a Moultrie spincast feeder with the gravity feed accessory attachment (in the place of the spincast) and it works good. Does take the deer a little time to get used to it but once they do, look out. If you have hogs on your place you will need the extra lets to get the feedhorns high that the hogs cannot reach the feed horns. The spotted fawns cannot reach into the feed horns to eat but they get what the grown deer rake out on the ground.

I got one like that. Big bucks will eat from it as stated. I set 1-2 DP traps near each feeder. Catch a bunch of coons!

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

I've got that same feeder and they will eat from it no problem. As others have said, the coons can put a hurting on it and we end up having the same group of young deer coming to the feeder a few times a day. This year I'm going to go with the 720 lb timed feeder from Academy. I can get 2 of them and fill them up at the beginning of the season and hopefully not have to fill them back up again until the season is over. Deer can eat 200 lbs in a gravity feeder pretty quick so I'm hoping this is more affordable in the longrun

I use the banks feeder with a piece of pvc over the post to keep coons off. They work great.

Also have a broadside feeder(guys sells them on facebook) and I like it for corn but protein will get clogged.
