Going to be there the last 2 days of gun and 4 days archery. Is there good public hunting close by? Will have access to very small farm to hunt. I have never been to this area any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you have access to private land with any cover I would stick to that. Don't let the fact that it is a small farm stop you. You don't need hundreds of acres to have a great shot at a big buck in that part of the country.

I will say the archery only public land in Missouri is similar to the land we have in the SOA program. Look at what is close to you on their website

I have hunted it. But just meat hunting. There are a couple of conservation areas not too far off that I've had some buddies shoot some nice deer on. But, in my experience you are a week too late. Once firearms season kicks in the public deer get tough.

I know last year they killed over 88,000 opening weekend there. Thats a boat load of deer in 2 days.
