Tragic for the family, friends and those that were necessarily involved afterwards.

Sadly, unless employment returns SOON for those that previously valued it and need it now more than ever, there will be more of this. I heard a # yesterday representing late mortgage payments and it was WAY up. That type of stress pushes people over the edge.

I'm wondering if this was a former member on here that CT knew. That's a terrible thing, regardless.

Wiley that’s was not the same person. When someone commits suicide there is a horrible wake left for the family to deal with. Sad that it comes to that

There was another friend of CT up here in the Owens Crossroads area that I was referencing that died several years ago and I didn't mean for this to infer our friend/your family. Hope you are doing well.

Very true. I saw a guy the grocery store i went to high school with and he looking pretty rough but as usual i avoided him. 2 days later he hung himself on his front porch. Kind of a gut punch moment for me. I'll do better from now on.

All you had to do was let the Christian in you talk to him or better yet don’t preach to him but be a friend. Ol boy would probably still be around if some of those psychology book and bible thumping people had just been friend and talked instead of avoid. It’s called common humanity and compassion.

That is just beyond terrible. God bless those who loved her and have to now deal with this tragedy.

It’s not in my head but I can somewhat understand.. I haven’t worked since the end of last year and the wife has to have hernia surgery (again) Monday and will be out 6weeks or so.. she doesn’t have qualify for FMLA since she’s not been at this job that long(she’s a nurse) but the doctor told her she may need to find another field of work.. what the???

Might the doctor be suggesting another line of work because of the duties involved in nursing (like lifting patients, etc.) or because of the economical toll on the healthcare system?

I’m a frequent reader here but not a poster. This thread hit close to home. 21 years ago my dad decided the same thing took a handful of pills and shot himself. Went out in the front yard and killed himself.

My kids when they were young had a friend that the mom had cancer the dad took her for a check up and while she was seeing the doctor he went out to the parking lot and shot and killed himself.
