I have a viper. I like it. It climbs real quietly and it is real comfortable to set it. If i was going to buy a new stand i would buy the new 180 by summit. The seat is a little more comfortable and the stand has more room. It climbs just as quiet and carries itself real well on your back.

I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

i have both a viper and goliath. i suggest the goliath. i`m 6ft 210 and with cold weather clothes the viper is tight. goliath to me is perfect. the titan is so big that it seems clumsy. my opinion.

i have a viper ss. really like it but you have to work at it to keep it from rattling when you walk. easy to set up and comfy. I'm 5'10,180lbs my cousin weighs 220lb. and wishes he got one of the bigger ones.

I have one my son used. I prefer an open-face stand for bowhunting though. So I use the Summit Cobra.

Just be aware they make a Viper and a Viper Classic. The classic is steel and weighs about an additional 8-9 pounds. It's cheaper though than the aluminum one.

I like the viper and the Goliath.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I've got a 180 and love it. I'm a big guy and it is the most comfortable stand I sit in.

I have two Vipers and two Goliaths, they are the most comfortable climbers out there in my opinion.

IMO, I would get the goliath instead of viper for the extra room. To bowhunt I use the open shot

I have had several different kinds of stands, Vipers, ol mans, tomkats, etc. And I would NEVER trade any of them for my viper. I love it and know several people with the same opinion.

Is there another kind of climber? Mine is awesome. I sharpened the blades that hit the tree so it will "Lock" into the tree and won't move around or slip, just added another feature to mine, that's all. Comfortable enough to take a nap in.. and of course, wear your harness!

Goliath for me since 2004, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat without even looking at others.
