You will only pay taxes on the vehicle in the state you live in.

Looking at a couple cars in MS and LA. How much in addition to their state tax will I have to pay when I bring it back to AL?
Thanks They will be glad to let you know when you register it. I think it is based on what your county charges plus the state. You might have to call and ask your local tax and license office if you want exact numbers.

If you really want to get wild, set up a shell company in Montana. Do Connecticut, it’s much easier and cheaper 80% of Connecticut’s tax base is out of state and shell companies

If you really want to get wild, set up a shell company in Montana. Do Connecticut, it’s much easier and cheaper 80% of Connecticut’s tax base is out of state and shell companies I’d be surprised if anything in Connecticut was cheap.

You would be surprised then, Connecticut is very business friendly I'm not very familiar with any of it but I know for a fact there are many Ferraris, Lamborghinis and large diesel pusher Tiffins running around with Montana tags.
