My thoughts are to be sure she wears a helmet and to get one that gives you the option to limit the maximum speed to what you feel comfortable with her going.
You know your child better than anyone else on here. If you have doubts about whether she is ready for one or not, there is certainly no harm in waiting longer.

You can start her on a battery powered one for starters. Buddy of mine had a lil razor for his kid and it was great for kids to start.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter has one of those battery powered vehicles that came with a remote for her dad to use to override her control of it, too. I thought that was a pretty cool option to have. So far she prefers for him to control it and she can just ride.

Not trying to scare you, but then again, maybe I am. We had a toddler decapitated in our area a few years ago on a battery-operated Powerwheel. The child drove up underneath a trailer. I'd wait until maybe 10 or so.

Thanks guys. She currently has a quick electric one that she handles no issue. I believe that she wouldn't have issues with the controlling part of a 50cc, just her daddy side of her will come out and do something utterly stupid with it and get hurt is my biggest concern. My point exactly. It's no fun tending to a kid with a serious injury or broken bones.

Most kids are still on training wheels at 5.
Amazing, and true.

Too young. I don't even really ride my kids around on mine, just because I don't want them to think of an ATV as a "toy", but just a tool/equipment. It's also why I've toyed with the idea of a UTV or golf cart (would need to be gas), instead of a 4 wheeler. Heck, I'd rather them be on a dirt bike than a 4 wheeler. A dirt bike wants to break your leg; a 4 wheeler wants to kill you.
