Yea .. we planted Longleaf about 4 years ago and we did we didn’t get a good site prep. Long story short kudzu and privit has taken over in spots so we was advised to spray with a skidder to get better saturation then we will reevaluate the pines .

I’m not sure where you’d put the water tank or anything else on a skidder. But it may do just fine

Commonly used to spray understory in pines, and clearcuts where aerial spray isn’t practical.

See if you can get in touch with SkinnertonOutlaw, he is on here from time to time, but he does that kind of work in that area.

Why not run a fire through it? Privet too thick?

They said the helicopter could not saturate the kudzu like it needs . We used a helicopter the first time . And we’ve burnt it twice . It just hasn’t burned real good due to the site prep the first time . If any of you know Ad Platt he’s like a Longleaf specialist he’s been out and gave us the recommendations.

Daniel, They are modified skidders without the log arch at the rear. They have a winch and boomless sprayers with a large tank on back.

Seems like too much sugar for a dime with current pine prices.

Wish my consultant had used a skidder instead on the chopper when they sprayed mine. Still pissed at the trees they killed I left out of the spray zone. Even more pissed I was too nice to sue their asses over.
