According to the infomercial direct is doing fox wants a 40% increase. I know, but FOX is still at the table and DIRECTV has stopped discussions. I'll be pissed off enough at both.

here's the thing, FOX has a product that people want, S.O.A., Justified, and Its always sunny... in a free market supply and demand tends to work well... i would gladly give up all those crap channels that i never watch to have FX... I called Direct TV to tell them that if FX goes away then i want out of my contract, as i signed the contract for programming that they have decided to change... I was told that the fine print in my contract states that i signed up for a package... not specific programming and that if i want to cancel i will be subject to the cancellation fee... it was not a very good phone conversation, i needed two beers to calm down after i hung up...
If you hunt over that, it's bait.

I completely agree with the free marked aspect of this whole thing. I don't know all the details but the idea of cutting out FX half way through the season of a program is pretty much bullshart as far as I'm concerned. Weighing my options for TV providers as of now.

At some point, I'm going to say the hell with them all. I would be better off sitting on the porch watching traffic on my Culdesac or spending time with the kid and wife than the television.
Screw 'em and the horse they rode in on.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.
