I’m all for quality, and I’ll pay for it, but I doubt they’re worth that. Not to me at least.

If they last 34 years, I'd say they're too cheap

I don't buy Lacrosse, period!!! Their quality is ____!!! I have a pair of Chippewa snake boots and they've lasted me for years. I bought my sons other brands and they've gone through 2 pairs and I still have my original Chippewa. Now, I have taken care of them. I do soak'em in boot oil and I don't let the leather dry out. However, they are still going strong!!

My rec... get Chippewa! They're expensive but they'll last.

Sharptails are good boots, had several hunters in texas with them..very good boots. I was given a pair that turned out to be too small so i gave them away. These were older sharptails..not the newer ones.

I have the Danner Pronghorn and the Danner Sharptails and both are great. The sharptails are pull on and are light, comfortable and a lot cooler than the lace up pronghorns. I wear my sharptails every time I got to the farm.

The Russell moccasins are made to order so they would fit best obviously but they’re are also twice as much as the Danner.

Those Lacrosses I posted...I've put 6 turkey seasons and 3 or 4 bow seasons on them. Aside from a small leak, they've held up really well. I've also got a pair of 1000g Alpha Burlys that are probably 9-10yrs old, though they dont have near the mileage on them. They're just now starting to get some very small cracks in the top. Dry rot, I suppose. At around $150 each, I dont think I could ask for more from either pair of boots.

Read through some of these. My calves measure over 18", and the Justin snake boots were the only ones that I could put on with my pants inside them.

Probably so. But surely there are cheaper snake boots with equal snake protection. My Chippewas are over $400 cheaper and super comfortable. beers

I wear Lacrosse rubber snakeboots turkey and bowhunting. They’re comfortable to walk in, waterproof, and durable. I hunt around a lot of water and these hold up for several years.

me and the fat fella with me walked out, slowly. Took my boot (Lacross Grange rubber uninsulated) off and had ONE fang hole in left calf. Put boot back on and drove 30 min to town and looked again. Some swelling, very little pain..so we went and ate breakfast.

Dang BhamFred, you were lucky. A TR has a nasty bite so he must've not gotten you good. I hate to kill a TR and on a few occasions, I've let them crawl off. They're not a mean snake like a CM but if they're scared, they'll bite you just like all snakes will. Glad you had the best outcome you can have with a TR bite.

If you want a boot, not to leak buy a boot that is leather around the foot with gortex. Those are the only ones that don't leak. The ones with the cordura and gortex always leak eventually.

Yep first few seasons, I wouldn't think twice about walking through water that came up right to the bottom of the finger holes. They stayed water tight longer than I though they would.
