Friday around lunch time, we will be headed east on 85 outside Montgomery but will exit after ten miles. Any eating recommendations along that stretch of 85? I know there is a Cracker Barrel.

Try to hang on until you get to tiger town. lol

Seriously when you get to the Chantilly Parkway exit turn left on the Atlanta highway and drive a couple miles to the Wishbone cafe. It will be on the left in the Publix’s shopping plaza there. It’s is at the corner of Atlanta highway and Taylor road. Or you can exit at AUM and turn left and it will be on the right before you run into the Atlanta highway. I’m afraid of recommending any others because they are so inconsistent. The Wishbone is always good.

Stop in eastchase for a good meal. Nothing much from there until Auburn, unless you like subway or undercooked gas station chicken.

It be's that way sometimes.

You could go to Martha’s on Atlanta HWY. It’s a soul food all you can eat buffett.

I know this sounds crazy but the Renfroe’s supermarket deli has a damn good meat and 3.

If you go to Eastchase, then Ixtapa, Little Donkey, Urban Cookhouse, or Pies and Pints is where I think the best lunch food is over there. They have a Full Moon BBQ and other fast food options too.

Little Donkey's chicken is on time! I have heard people rave about it and finally got some about a month ago and now if I want fried chicken I do Little Donkey or Martins.

Don't go to Red Robin. That $20 hamburger ain't no better than Wendy's.

They just opened another The Wharf Casual Seafood at Eastchase too. Good food, a tad pricey to not be fancy though (Cheaper than Full Moon though). Little Donkey does have some good fried chicken. Five Guys, Milos, Chick-Fil-A, Arbys, etc, etc. are all over there too. Fazolis if you are craving fast food Italian. One of my favorites is across the street from Eastchase next to Whole Foods, Pieology. Really good pizza. There is also a Buffalo Wild Wings, and Outback in the same Plaza.

Pretty much anything you want around Eastchase.

Wishbone cafe is good. Ixtapa is good Mexican. Martha’s is ok.

If you like fried chicken go to Little Donkey - but soft palate be warned - it will be 200 degrees hotter than any chicken from any other place

True, but don't know why. The first time I ate there my wife and I went for the Mexican food but I had heard about the fried chicken so much I asked and the waitress brought us both a leg. We couldn't get past a bite because it was so hot until we had eaten everything else. It did make me go back and get the chicken the next time though.
