well guys... i stuck out yesterday. Had i pretty cool hunt on the edge of a cow field over a ton of acorns. Had 5 come out. 3 does, fawn, and a spike. i shot at a nice doe and the arrow went right under her. I havent missed in 2years with a bow. Wont get another chance till monday morning. Hope somebody has better luck than me lol

I crapped out this morning. Saw a bunch of deer under several oaks on the edge of the pasture. Got back in the woods and only saw one little fawn. I will be sitting on the edge of the field on Monday afternoon.
If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.

Maybe she'll try that trick in gun season. well yesterday i was busted by a doe around 7:15, after blowing and stomping her foot for almost 30min she finally left. Never could get a clean shot on her. Would have loved to shut her up

I hunted yesterday afternoon. Made a quick ground blind under some oak trees in the pasture. Saw 11 deer, including a spike and a 4 point, but the only ones that presented a shot were the two little bucks. Had them several times about 20 yards out. Does stayed just out of range. I will try that spot again when the wind is right.
