I am planning on attending again this year after a few years break. My whole family (wife and 3 kids) are going with. We wanted to stay at the Opryland hotel due to ease of allowing the kids to go to the room whenever and not having to take a car or cab, etc to the room. It is booked. The Inn at Opryland had rooms last time I checked but it's off site based off the map. Do y'all have any suggestions for lodging that is at least within a short safe walking distance or has a shuttle to the convention hotel?

If I were you I'd pull the trigger on a room at the Inn at Opryland, while you still can.

There is 100's of hotels within 10 miles of that place. The one time I got a hotel room my wife and I did The Grand Ol Opry one night and the convention the next day. Just go to one of the travel sites and set the hotel filters within 10 miles of Opryland and it will pull up plenty of places to stay. The chances of you staying on site are slim.

Thanks, we basically ended up doing about what BC suggested. Got one at a Double tree between the Opryland hotel and downtown. Less than ideal for my kid situation, but WAY cheaper over all. Guess I can spend the difference at the convention on calls...

You looking at this wrong. Spend the difference at Tootsie’s!

If you've never been before , after this one you'll understand why folks like to stay at the Gaylord or very close.

I don’t know what’s y’all problem is with rooms, I just called up there and told them YEKRUT needed a room and I booked one for the weekend. Use the nwtf code and tell them you are with me and you should be golden. I thought I was going to have to Uber across the street again from listening to y’all talk. They actually write my name on the welcome screen over there.

I usually stay at the holiday inn express right across the street. Its a quick drive over and theres a decent little sports bar over that way.

We already need a camo tarp to hide your big head from the turkeys, I'm not sure we can find anything big enough to hide that ego! Lol!

I really hate we aren't going to be there this year. Too many trips already and not enough vacation time. Instead of hanging out with y'all in Nashville, MsN40R and I will be getting ready to head to Florida for the first leg of our hunts.
