Use to be everywhere in marion junction. One ran my step dad in the camper one night that was in the fire pit right in front of the camper. It was amazing how quick he made it back in when he saw it.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I had never seen them until I got my lease in Bullock county. See them all the time now and actually had one almost get me Saturday morning! It always amazes me how big they are!

Limestone/Madison skunks seem to smell the worst.as there were always a lot on the roads there. The most I've seen dead is on Hwy 61 in Hale County. They seems to have a heavy population. I was coming back form my stand one night and one was in the middle of a cattle crossing I had to go through. My brother could see me but I wasn't moving. He kept calling me till I hollered Skunk and it finally ran off.

There was a family of them down there back then I can testify to that fact because I got sprayed while we were camping down there

Had this one show up by the barn a few weeks ago. He was around for about 3 weeks. Just a screen capture of video.

Funny this thread came up...we were just talking about 'em at work yesterday and a co-worker made the comment that his dogs must keep them run off from around his house. He got home yesterday to an obvious skunk orgy happenin under his house! lol

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

A buddy and I were turkey hunting a few years back and I had just started working a bird at daylight. probably 125 yards or so away. I hadn't heard the bird fly down and was waiting til then to call again. 15-20 minutes go by and I hear what sounded a lot like a turkey walking in front of me, but couldn't see it. I'm thinking no way that turkey has slipped in this close and I can't see it. I finally catch movement and about 25 FEET from us is, yep you guessed it, a skunk headed straight to us. I tried moving slightly to get him to change course, no luck. Rumor has it that heavy shot is over kill on a skunk.
