My daughter is looking for a CCP. I have shared with her most the the recommendation on here. She teaches with a lady that has a 9MM SCCY/CPX. i told her I have never heard of them but am sure since the knowledge on this website is off the charts, I will find out something, good or bad.

I'd say no auto's for most women. Most would freak or drop it if it jams. I wouldn't want a revolver, but for a woman yes. pistols

A woman with a jammed auto is defenseless. Most compact autos only carry 6 in a clip. The Ruger carries 5. Big difference(NOT REALLY). And most gunfights happen within ten ft. No one says give me our wallet when they are 20 ft away. The Ruger that is built like a SW bodyguard comes with a laser too. One that comes on when the pistol is gripped, not a turn on switch. Revolvers don't jam. A jammed auto is only a lite weight hammer at best.

I bought my wife a bodyguard 380. She really likes it. I have a 40cal smith & wesson, she don't like it, a bit too substantial. But the bg 380 doesn't overwhelm her at all. Pretty dang accurate too, out to about 60 yards or so. Easily fit in a purse. Accurate to 60 yards? You mean 60 feet?

SCCY is a good gun for the money. I bought my wife one to keep in the car. I have ran about 500 reds through it with no problem. Even put the laser on it. The designer worked for keltec before starting up this company. Very basic on function and so far reliable.

I didn't lump anyone. I said some women. A woman has to be familiar and that comes with lots of practice.

I'd say no auto's for most women. Most would freak or drop it if it jams. I wouldn't want a revolver, but for a woman yes. pistols Hell if you're going to demote women to 2nd tier defensive firearms mine as well just go for the utmost in simplicity a derringer. A quality small revolver is in no way a second tier defensive firearms.
