Looking for a new scope. Wanting to stay below $300. Whats the best bang for the buck? Cabelas has a vortex diamondback 3.5-10x50 on sale for $159. But I have never looked at 1. Looked at a nikon and redfield also.

I think Cabelas had their meopta made scope for 249.

I would look very hard at that one.

That vortex at the price is well worth a try. Can't beat their warranty or return policy.

I have several redfield revolution 4-12x40 scopes. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Redfield revolution or vortex diamondback would get my vote.

This. $249 for essentially a Meopta Meopro is a great deal.

I would buy the Meopta before a cheap Vortex or Nikon.

Have 2 Nikons and very happy with them. Recently looked at a Vortox Crossfire and a Leupold VX1. Leopold VX1 won hands down. Xf was about $160. VX1 3-9 $199. I would buy another VX1 or Nikon

I bought a Leupold VX-1 2 z 7 a few years ago just to put an inexpensive scope on one of my 22LR's. Was very surprised at the clarity of the glass and light transmission. Look around and you can find a 3 x 9 for around $250, sometimes less.

Ended up ordering the cabelas instinct for $249. Seemed like a lot of scope for the money.
