I had a 100# German Shepherd in the back yard. Burglars broke in and threw everything we owned in the floor, stole my guns, electronics and jewelry. Dog didn't help at all. A car in the driveway when we are gone and lots of outdoor lights on at night have helped more. Ain't gonna help if the dog is in your backyard....

Dogs are your best bet. My dad has lived in tarrant city for over 20 years and he has never been broken into.. all the neighbors have. His dogs will bite that ass and all the little hoodlums know it

Nothings beats a big mean sounding dog... even if it's a boxer. It also put a trump sign in your front yard and pair of work boots on your porch. They will probably assume that you work for a living and therefore you don't have chit anyway.

I got a red nose that scares most folks, but if that don't work I got another dog that don't trust no one and will bite. Hog skull and shell casing on the porch. But most everyone knows you don't mess around on my road, I got some neighbor's who's as crazy as me. Like Fred said, a big dog helps, a big dog that bites really helps.
