1.) are we suppose to report our kids kills also?
Yes. ALL license exempt hunters are required to get a H.E.L.P. # to be recognized by the GC system. It's free and easy to obtain. No big deal. Get on the website, go to buy a license, select H.E.L.P. and use that number to record and report their kills.
2.) how are they going to get this info to the masses? I know there are quite a few people that have no clue about this.
It's in the digest, on the website, and presented at all the seminars. It's also given at nearly every public speaking engagement conducted by our staff so people will know. Will we reach everyone? No. We know that. But the hunters in this state can certainly help get the info out by telling folks you know who have questions. It's on the front page of the digest, which a lot of people see. If they don't read it that's not our fault. I understand everyone don't pick up digests, read the web site, or go to the meetings, and that's why it is important to reach as many people as we can, and hopefully those people will reach some we can't.
The seminar is NOT a waste of your time. I've talked to several disgruntled folks who had a totally different opinion of GC when they left the meetings, especially after they saw how easy it was to report.

A majority of the people that I talk to around here have never heard of it. However, none of them thinks that we're running out of deer. Maybe that's the difference.

A majority of the people that I talk to around here have never heard of it. Nobody around here thinks that we're running out of deer, either. Maybe that's the difference. Could be the difference........could be that us south Alabama hunters are just more into hunting than then y'all northern guys too. We live eat and breathe hunting 365 days of the year talking about it everyday at work, the gym, ball games, church and ect. Hence the lower deer populations because we are just plain better killers Or shittier conservationists.

Same here but big-t and Matt disagree with me every time on it. Maybe they just hang out with a smarter crowd. I will be curious to see how many hunting licenses are sold and how many license numbers report kills.

Are they gonna make a simple YouTube type video ? It is fabled that Sykes and the CAB members created one for the biologists to get on board. It was a cartoon with the title of "how to achieve a goal." It went on to show the budgets and how the department was underfunded and how the future prospects of the department were bleak. A cartoon deer........named moletree explained that to achieve the current goal a problem had to be created..........at this point a cartoon turkey named ainswarts walks up and asks, "what kind of problem?" The deer answered, "a problem that can in time be shown to have no other fix but the one we want for those dumb hunters." After the deer explained to the turkey the game check proposal and how it did gather data but there was no way to enforce the silly regulation the wise turkey said, " ahaaaaa!!!!!!! I get it. We trick them fools into thinking this is solely for data gathering and the management of our herds..........as if it was for them............and in the mean time they will never see that it is a created problem with only one solution!" The deer said, " yep...........they'll never see it coming." The deer and turkey slowly walked off in the sunset...........and then came to an obstruction of sorts.........they looked at each other and said........the promised land.............the deer took a leap like never before.........and the turkey took flight. Together they landed inside a high fence somewheres near guntersville..........and auto feeders of a certain Alabama company began to spin and throw corn and protein pellets everywhere! Just before that occurred a fella........ A true blooded American type saw the two animals.........and by his account tags were stuck to the antlers of the deer and Spurs of the turkey. And just as he saw what gross parasites the animals had stuck to them..........they both defecated $100 bills everywhere. It is said that many on the payroll and in attendance wept...........and possible more that a few had some sort of emission than was not solid or gaseous.

I will be curious to see how many hunting licenses are sold and how many license numbers report kills. Are you calling me a liar? Your roll-eyes emoji could lead one to assume that is the case. I don't get on here and push hidden agendas and stretch the truth to make a point. I've talked to hundreds of people about GC, and it comes up almost daily. People need it explained to them quite often because they are hearing about it. It has been a very rare event anyone has been angry or opposed to it. I have been approached a couple of times from folks who were not quite sure about it, and after I explained it they left with a complete understanding of it and were fine.
