I wish you had posted this before my Mom had my Dad's old 60 hauled off. That 292 was a good motor. He drove that thing from Nebraska to Louisianq to Alabama to Newfoundland to Montanna to California and back to Alabama.

And check the torque box if you are looking for one. I'm currently building a 60 model my grandpaw left me and my brother got the 59 custom cab factory 6 cyl. Auto.

I like the unibody but because of the reasons you mentioned I'd perfer a standard cab and bed design.

61 and 62 you'd have to find an army vehicle,1 ton, or a company fleet vehicle for it not to be a unibody. Early 63 falls in to the above category. Late 63 had the old style bed (57-60) because ford didn't have a bed ready for that body style because of the unibody but that style was cut short because of design flaws ie, doors popping open when loaded going down ruff roads. I'll see that old boy after the new year and see what he's got left
