It's actually her nickname. We have a Pipsi and a Thumper. Both 8 (Stepsisters). Pip is really small for her age. She is in the 5 percentile meaning 95% of all kids her size are taller. She is mean as a rattlesnake though, Routinely beating up older boys in the neighborhood (No Joke). When my wife divorced her daddy (We will call him John Doe), he told two different people separately that years later relayed the story to me; "I don't care anything That girl but I want 50% custody of my son".
Well I met her mama about 1 1/2 years later when she came to Hawaii on Vacation (I have a house there and was living there with full custody of my other little girl, Thumper).
We have been together ever since. We rented the house out in Hawaii and moved here as we wanted to raise our kids here and not there.
Here is the heart breaking part for me though... I'll try to get through it with dry eyes.
The first time I had to leave the family and go to Hawaii on business alone I was looking for my ring (Pip had given it to me as a present and it has the Lord's Prayer on it). Well after looking for a while I asked the kids if they had seen it. Pip started crying and said, "Daddy I took it because I am afraid you won't come back to me but I know you'll come back for the ring!"
It broke my heart and tears started streaming down my face too. I said, "Baby, I will always come back to you. I am crazy about YOU, and can't breath without you for very long; like a fish out of water."
That's a true story. Now everytime I am gonna be gone somewhere over night she wears that ring on a string around her neck.
Anyway my wife and little boy are out of the country for a couple weeks and Thumper Flew out to Hawaii a couple days ago to spend Christmas with her mom so it's just me and Pip right now.
I didn't mean to tell you boys all that. Just kinda typed itself out. Sorry.
No problem at all, Type on brother! I enjoyed it. Keep up the good parenting! Thanks for sharing that man. I don't know you, but you just gained my respect. Sounds like the sperm donor blood kin father she has needs a wake up call.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

You know Honolua, you ain't been here on this forum too long, but you fit in real well with most of us on here. Keep doing what you're doing with your kids and you'll have raised 'em right when they get grown. As for the 6 point, there will be plenty more. As for that pic you posted of you and Pip (love that name by the way!), THAT is priceless!
Jesus... I hope you know Him personally like I do.

I appreciate y'alls kind words...I love these kids a whole bunch.
This one especially is about stuck to me like my shadow.Guy called the other day and asked if I would bring my dog and help track a deer. Since It's just me and pip here right now I was hesitant and feeling blue about sending my other one to Hawaii.
When I asked her if she wanted to go track a deer or see Star Wars she said proudly, "Of course daddy, I'm a Tommy Boy we can see the movie later".
We never found that guys deer(Damn dog was coming into heat and wouldn't hunt)...I felt terrible.
Anyway we were tracking drop to drop and I was stumped at one point and she said look daddy here's some blood (Where the deer had turned). I hadn't even found it yet.
The shooter had only been able to track it about 10 yards from the shot site and we ended up tracking it 150 yards and although we didn't recover the deer I was stoked that she found blood that I hadn't seen yet.
BTW I whomever gave the guy my name (Josh maybe?)I am grateful.
