bdunn3 OP spike B Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 38 Autauga Alabama	Has anyone ever done this in the stand during bow season? I have always bought a can for opening weekend since I can remember. A friend told me the deer love it. Do I think it helps... No but I don't necessarily think it hurts either. Just wondering if anyone else had the same weird tradition as me.... Let the meat missiles fly tomorrow!

I've had a lot of young deer stand there under my tree for a long time sniffing around. I shot a seven point wih a drop tine ( only deer I've ever seen on the hoof with one) that came up under my stand on the refuge hunt and sniffed around for several minutes. I never found that buck either......

I leaned over and spit on one of the yearlings, the way it acted you'd have thought I shot it. For probably 5-10-seconds, it bounced around spinning trying to see what was on it's shoulder. When it finally stopped the doe and the other yearling both went and checked it out. They actually busted me in the stand when I started laughing.
