Been using two pairs of danners for work this year. Most comfortable boots ever, but not waterproof worth a chit. I've slathered these things with nixwax, sprayed em with silicon spray, and used old fashioned beeswax and my feet still get wet on a dewey morning. But that's why I own mucks, too.
The only leather boot I've owned that claimed to be waterproof and stayed that way were some irish setters. Which models did you have issues with water resistance. That is a big factor for me. Pronghorns and East Ridge models. The east ridges are made in the USA. Both let my feet get wet after a couple of weeks.
