Seems like a little while back someone was asking about club rules. Well I wanted to share some club rules from yesteryear's . This was the club where I witnessed my first deer killed. And in later years I was able to Kill a nice buck of my own on this property thanks to the current land owners who I will not mention. My Paw paw is the first president mentioned. [Linked Image]

Dues were also $200 for the best hunting I have ever seen. My paw paw would rollover in his grave if he knew what I paid each year to hunt.

I really like the coyote idea. These days it would be better to just increase dues by like 25 bucks and have the extra 25 go into a pot to pay for each coyote head. Maybe 50 dollars off next year's dues for every proven coyote killed on the property. They are out of control and you need a way to incentivize people to shoot them and not worry so much about messing up their hunt.

I've never seen a bounty on coyotes, but I like the idea. Is the date of dues in 1988? Can't read the last few lines.

Yea I've been blessed to have a great property in the family and in a family where only 2 people including myself hunt. I have friends and I hear what they have to pay and it's ludicrous in some instances.

I love to shoot an armadilla, don't think I'd pick them up and haul back to prove I killed them though, even for a few dollars, haha.

Ah, yea. That brings back some good memories of a club I was in back in 1998. We had real similar rules. No spikes or forkhorns. We were paying 550. by then though. No cash bounty on coyotes, instead, we had a big ole 4 or 5 yo buck that looked almost like a spike, that nobody wanted it to breed. Nobody ever shot it, or maybe it was the nice ten point that was killed the next year. The man standing over that buck would have been 100. richer.

Yes it was. I'm waiting on someone that was in it or either hunted it to respond. Most members were from Birmingham.

How far was this club from the Wilcox line on 21? I grew up hunting in an area called Dutch Bend, it was in Lowndes County but it wasn't far at all from the Wilcox line. The last caution light on 21 before the Wilcox county line, turn left there and we were about 2 miles on your left. I think a buddy of mine turkey hunts this place. If it's the same place I'm thinking of, there was an old lodge there, and a pond(really just a creek that was wide in that area) that always had several gators in it.

This place is actually on hwy 89 about 2 miles north of hwy 21. Some of the land was actually in Dallas county but it is right on the north county line.
